Tall Ships Unsigned Showcase

Posted by saltire sounds on July 11, 2011 at 10:05 AM

July 2011 saw  the return to Greenock of the Tall Ships race after 12 years , and with it brought the opportunity for some of the acts in part Saltire Sounds Community to showcase their impressive talent

You'll find some footage on our Video page  - a great achievement for so many Unsigned artists into a large mainstream event

Acts performed over 3 days - in no particular order :

Scosha Brettel

The Movement

The Soviets

The Laynes

Bags of Rock

Emerald Black

Alan Tennie

Pol Stevenson

Emma Forman

Beccy Atherton

Andrew Norquay

Jaego

Broken Alphas

Amanda Williams

Little Fire

Johnny Graham

Pure Dead Brilliant

Nairn Lochhead

All the incredible perfomances of the above acts prove that , even in this unforgiving Music world , anything and everything is possible.

This was one of the best gigs we've played, and we have played some quality venues, but you cannot beat the great outdoors.

Would be interesting to see if Sail Inverclyde, Saltire Sounds and Inverclyde Council would be willing to come together to make this an Annual Event aimed at unsigned Acts. With possibly a couple of signed acts to attract the crowds????

Thanks for posting and directing people to our site, If you send me logos and junk I'll plop you onto our website too.

Fingers crossed that we can make an impact for T-break next year ;)
